If you are considering a new dogi then perhaps the Hirota Pinak is the one for you. Tough yet lightweight, this handmade dogi is favoured by Kenshusei and JKS Hombu Dojo instructors alike. More and more karateka are being 'converted' from the heavyweight suits because they move so well with the body.

Ever found out that the kanji on your black belt that you have cherished for so long doesn't actually say anything meaningful, least of all your name? This is a common problem with poor translations, and of course unless you read and write Japanese you may not find out for years. The JKS GB & Ireland uses people fluent in both Japanese and English to ensure that names are correctly translated. Once with Hirota, the kanji is expertly embroidered onto high quality silk or cotton belts, specified to your requirements.
